Best Sherry for cooking recipes? Medium , dry or sweet??

Trying some different recipes using sherry, but not sure which one to buy. Definintely not cooking sherry though.

Try using creme sherry which works well for me
it depends on what you're cooking, but a medium sherry is generally best for cooking. Dry Sack is perfect, the name implies that it is dry, but is acutally medium, and it is rather inexpensive. too dry a sherry will not impart the flavor your looking for.
