Anyone have a chili recipe that will win a chili cook off?

My husband is having a chili cook off at work this week. He really wants to win. Any winning recipes?Anyone have a chili recipe that will win a chili cook off?
Yep -- this one is always a winner. To really make it special, replace the stew meat with grilled sirloin. Just skip the dredging in flour and browning and chop up the steak into small pieces. The grilled steak will add texture and a smoky flavor to the chili, which goes very well with the beer. Black beans are also good added to this recipe, but if you don't like black beans, pintos work as well. We don't like beans in our chili -- and this recipe was born while trying to find one that was not tomato based.

Beefy Crockpot Chili

1 陆 pounds ground round

1 陆 pounds stew meat, cubed

3 teaspoons olive oil

陆 cup all purpose white flour

1 cup water

3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon kosher salt

陆 teaspoon pepper

录 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

陆 teaspoon cumin

录 cup chili powder

录 cup cocoa powder

12 ounces beer

5 cups water

In large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Dredge stew meat in 1/4 cup flour. With slotted spoon, transfer browned ground beef to crock pot. Sprinkle 1/4 cup flour into beef drippings, stir well to prevent lumps. Cook for about 1 minute, then add 1 cup water and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until thick. Pour over beef in crockpot.

Wipe skillet clean, heat olive oil over medium heat. Brown stew meat. Pour into crockpot.

Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and cook on low for 8 - 10 hours, stirring occasionally.Anyone have a chili recipe that will win a chili cook off?
Pam's Anti-Kidney Bean Chili

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 onion

Garlic to taste (I use several cloves)

1 can tomato paste (small 8 oz. can)

1 can tomato sauce

1 can pinto beans (you can add another if you like beans)

chili powder to taste (I use about 2 Tbs.)

cumin (1-2 Tbs.)

cayenne pepper (for extra heat) (be careful with this because you can add too much really easily-- I usually add just one or two pinches)

Cook the ground beef or turkey and onion until browned. Add the garlic and spices, stir to combine. Add the tomatoes (both types) and the beans. Let it simmer on med-low for about 10-15 minutes. Enjoy!

You can also add bell peppers, fresh tomatoes, hot peppers, or anything else you like. Chipotle peppers (dried or in a can) would add smoke flavor and spice.

This is a simple chili recipe, but its really tasty.
I have a recipe for steak n shake chili, it is soooooooo yummmy!! Here it is:

1 1/2 lb. ground beef

1/2 tsp. salt

10 oz. can French onion soup

2 tsp. cumin powder

1/2 tsp. pepper

21 oz. can kidney beans

6 oz. can tomato paste

8 oz. can tomato sauce

2 tsp. Hershey's cocoa

10 oz. Coca Cola

Brown ground beef in 2 tablespoons oil. Crumble beef. Dust with salt. Pack beef firmly into pan. Cover and heat 20 minutes on low. Put onion soup through blender for 1 minute; add to beef. Mash beef with fork until it looks like rice. Simmer 5 minutes on low. Add chili powder, cumin powder, and pepper to beef. Transfer to 2 1/2 quart saucepan and add kidney beans, tomato paste, and tomato sauce. Heat thoroughly, about 20 minutes. Stir in cocoa and Coca Cola.
SPICY USUALLY DOES BETTER THAN MILD...I USE BROOK'S CHILI HOT BEANS AND JARRED SALSA-MEDIUM HEAT....DO YOUR OWN THING AFTER THAT
