What are some fun, delicious, very French recipes I can use for a cooking project?

My friend and I take French in school, and we're doing this cooking project together. We want some really good recipes, they don't have to be easy to make (we want it to be real French cooking, none of those 30 minute meal Americanized recipes) they have to be fun, and they have to be very French (no Americanized things, like real, authentic French cuisine).
